Apple Chips

apple chips

Your only regret making these chips is that you didn’t make enough! These chips do take a long time to crisp up but are worth every bite when finished. I now understand why the apple chips are so expensive at the market! These apple chips are super easy to make but need some time in the oven. The key to making these chips crunchy is cooking them for long enough on low heat and then leaving them in the oven once you have turn the oven off for at least 3 hours. This gives them time to crisp up. The great thing about this recipe is that you can add whatever spices you would like sprinkled on top.

I like cinnamon sugar but feel free to use different spices such as ground all spice, pumpkin spice mix or apple spice mix mixed with sugar. The other great thing about this recipe is that all you need is a knife and a cutting board for preparation. You don’t even need to peel the apples. I didn’t peel them, I just cut the pieces as thin as possible. Of course if you have a slicer at home, it would be even better. The thinner the slice, the crunchier the chip.
